Principal’s Message

Gochar Mahavidyalaya, Rampur Maniharan, Saharanpur (UP) was established long time back in 1959. This college is run under the management of Akhil Bhartiya Gurjar Vidya Paracharani Sabha, Rampur Maniharan, Saharanpur. It is affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University (formerly Meerut University), Meerut, and was also included under section 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act. The college has been accredited ‘B’ grade by NAAC.

Since its inception, the college has developed into a multi-faculty co-educational college with strength of more than 3,000 students. The mission of the founding fathers of this college should not only serve as a beacon light for all the stakeholders, but should also inspire us to strive for the better and attain distinction in providing cutting edge learning experience, intellectual freedom and critical research opportunities in frontier areas of contemporary concern. The college is known for imparting quality education in the faculties of Arts, Science, Agriculture, Commerce, Teacher Education and Physical Education. Each department is well equipped with all the necessary modern teaching aids and excellent laboratories with computers which are put to their optimum use. The faculty is distinguished and the support staff dedicated.
Alongside its rigorous academic standards the college maintains a vibrant tradition of co-curricular activities. Our students complement their academic lives with active engagement in the fields of sports, debate, music, dance, seminars and workshops. The college thus facilitates a plethora of academic and co-curricular exchanges.We believe that each student is special and has the potential to excel in many different ways. Then the touchstone of all our programmes is active engagement that nurtures individual talent. I am very happy with the progress the college has made by imbibing in its students, value based education synergized with modern teaching-learning methods to produce a well informed and emotionally sound generation. I am positive that in times to come, we will continue this journey with elevated enthusiasm and persistently provide a platform of holistic learning to the young generation of learners.
I expect all my young students to focus on their cherished goals and strive hard to accomplish them, transcending obstacles in their path to success. It is my constant endeavor to proliferate an environment of mutual respect within the college, in pursuit of a shared ambition.
